The Uniswap Protocol is the largest decentralized trading and automated market making protocol (often called a DEX, ā€œDecentralized Exchangeā€) on Ethereum. The Uniswap Labs team was a major contributor to the Uniswap Protocol and now focuses on building a suite of products to support the Uniswap ecosystem. Our team is one of the most impactful in crypto. We are based out of SoHo in New York City with the option to be partially or fully remote depending on the position.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

šŸ“People Leadership: Hire, coach, and grow a diverse team of world-class smart-contract engineers while fostering a security-first, inclusive, high-performance culture. Provide clear growth paths, feedback, and mentorship. šŸ“Technical Direction: Own the architecture and roadmap for Uniswap’s Solidity-based protocol (hooks, cross-chain deployments, governance upgrades) and champion best practices in gas optimization, modular design, and upgrade-safe patterns. šŸ“Security & Audits: Drive a rigorous SDLC that includes threat modeling, formal verification, fuzzing, and multiple external audit loops. šŸ“Coordinate with leading audit firms and run our internal red-team / bug-bounty triage. šŸ“Project Execution: Translate product and research goals into executable engineering plans, then prioritize and track work to hit aggressive but realistic milestones across multiple chains. šŸ“Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Legal, Security, Design, and Community teams to ship features that delight users while protecting billions in TVL.

Minimum Requirements

šŸ“8+ years total software engineering experience, including 3+ years building production EVM smart-contract systems in Solidity (or low-level languages like Huff/Yul) and 2+ years managing engineers. šŸ“Proven track record shipping contracts that have held significant TVL and zero critical exploits. šŸ“Deep knowledge of the EVM and DeFi mechanics (AMMs, oracles, bridges). šŸ“Hands-on experience leading smart contract security efforts including external security audits, formal verification, static analysis etc. šŸ“Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex protocol trade-offs to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders. šŸ“B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent real-world experience.
