Job Summary

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

šŸ“Develop unique perspectives on key categories and companies in the crypto ecosystem, and curate related research and market intelligence, identifying critical shifts and evolving trends and communicate their implications to be at the forefront of new developments šŸ“Engage with the broader organization (product, engineering, marketing, etc.) to further qualify opportunities and refine our areas of strategic interest šŸ“Develop perspectives on key competitors, relative strengths and weaknesses, and implications for our business šŸ“Lead and/or support the execution of acquisitions by defining our needs, developing a market landscape with target companies, engaging prospects, developing business cases, engaging in due diligence and deal execution and supporting integration in partnership with finance, accounting, tax, legal, compliance, business, product, engineering, people and other departments at Ripple šŸ“Establish strong relationships externally with the crypto and blockchain community of entrepreneurs and investors šŸ“Source new opportunities and manage the pipeline šŸ“Develop key internal processes and artifacts for the companyā€™s corporate development function including data-driven acquisition performance and backtesting for achievement against ingoing investment thesis šŸ“Ad-hoc qualitative and quantitative analyses for strategic planning, investing and integration efforts šŸ“Partner with Business Development to forge alliances that promote Rippleā€™s product and service offerings šŸ“Take an opportunity from inception to completion, owning the process from sourcing to due diligence to execution

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

šŸ“8+ years of experience in corporate development or related fields such as investment banking, management consulting ideally in the corporate finance space, and/or venture capital šŸ“Experience developing and implementing deal workflows and post-deal integrations šŸ“Experience managing multiple deals at once through all phases šŸ“ Experience working with key stakeholders and leading teams to ensure strategy and tactics are alignedStrong experience developing financial modeling such as market data models, three-statement analysis and valuation šŸ“Intellectual rigor šŸ“Strong communication skills; verbal, written, and presentational šŸ“Comfort operating in white space where there is no playbook and proven ability to come up with creative solutions and deal structures šŸ“Comfortable interacting regularly with executives and/or major external stakeholders and leading negotiations šŸ“Strong understanding of blockchain technology and traditional financial services šŸ“High attention to detail šŸ“Proactive, energetic and collaborative
