Job Summary
RESPONSIBILITIES:
šAs a member of the design team, work in collaboration with Manufacturing and Supplier Development Engineers to drive requirements for SMT process across satellite and gateway programs šAdvocate and drive consolidation of SMT assembly requirements, aligning internal and external SMT products šPerform reviews of PCBs before release to address manufacturing issues such as thermal unbalancing, component breakout and footprint design šIdentify trends and opportunities for optimizing product output, quality enhancements, and cost of manufacturing šDevelop test vehicles to validate and propose new process, in particular for new designs and new silicon šDrive corrective actions into designs based on manufacturing defects and yield issues
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
šBachelorās degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or other STEM discipline š1+ years work experience in SMT processing and/or microelectronics packaging either from industry, research, internships or academic projects
