Job Summary
What you’ll do
📍Develop and lead our regulatory strategy across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring that our products and services comply with complex and evolving regulations. 📍Work closely with product teams to guide the development of new offerings from a legal and regulatory perspective, identifying potential issues before they arise. 📍Engage with regulators and industry bodies to advocate for sensible digital asset regulation that supports innovation while protecting consumers. 📍Lead our privacy initiatives, ensuring that our practices not only comply with regulations like GDPR and CCPA but also set industry standards for data protection. 📍Collaborate with the broader legal team to provide comprehensive legal advice that aligns with our strategic goals, focusing on areas such as intellectual property, commercial agreements and corporate governance. 📍Stay ahead of legal and regulatory developments in digital assets, privacy, and blockchain technology, translating complex legal concepts into actionable guidance for the team.
About you
📍Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar. 📍 A minimum of 12 years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house role, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, digital assets, and privacy law. 📍Demonstrated experience navigating the regulatory landscape for financial services or technology products, particularly in relation to blockchain or digital assets. 📍Strong understanding of global privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and emerging regulations. 📍Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal and regulatory issues to non-experts. 📍Experience engaging with regulators and policy makers on issues related to financial technology or privacy. 📍A proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving, with a drive to take on new challenges and adapt to rapidly changing environments.
