Responsibilities

📍Monitor and tune SQL Server database performance, including optimizing configurations, indexing, and queries to ensure high availability and efficiency. 📍Implement and maintain security measures for SQL Server databases to comply with regulations such as PCI DSS, SOX, and GDPR, including access controls and encryption. 📍Execute backup and recovery strategies for SQL Server databases to ensure data integrity and support business continuity, including participating in disaster recovery testing. 📍Collaborate with the DBA team and other stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and reliable service. 📍Work with Research and Development (R&D) teams to design and optimize efficient SQL Server database queries, adhering to best practices for performance and scalability. 📍Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for production SQL Server databases, following established protocols for incident response and resolution. 📍Stay updated on SQL Server technologies and best practices, contributing to team knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

📍3+ years of hands-on SQL Server DBA experience, preferably in the payments or banking industry, supporting production database administration within PCI scope. 📍Strong understanding of SQL Server performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization. 📍Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 📍Strong English communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 📍Ability to work day shift EST work hours.
