Job Summary
What you will do
đź“ŤAs a Data Engineer on our Data Platform team, you'll be a key hands-on contributor to the evolution of our data platform. Your focus will be on building and improving the core systems that power data at MoonPay. đź“Ť Contribute to the design and development of our data platform, including real-time streaming with Kafka and Pub/Sub, orchestration with Airflow, and data warehousing with BigQuery and dbt. đź“ŤImprove and scale our existing data pipelines and infrastructure, with a focus on enhancing reliability, performance, and governance đź“ŤWrite high-quality, well-tested code using Python and SQL, and manage our cloud infrastructure effectively using Terraform (IaC) đź“ŤSupport the full lifecycle of data projects, from contributing to planning and estimation through to successful implementation and delivery đź“ŤCollaborate with engineering, analytics, and data science teams to understand their needs and deliver reliable platform capabilities đź“ŤActively participate in our team's engineering culture through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing

đź“ŤYou are a skilled and enthusiastic engineer with a passion for building robust data solutions. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to grow your skills and make a tangible impact. đź“Ť You have hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines and contributing to shared data platform services đź“ŤYou are proficient with some of the technologies in our stack, such as event-streaming (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub), data warehousing, and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) đź“ŤYou are a collaborative team player who enjoys sharing knowledge, participating in code reviews, and learning from your peers đź“ŤYou have a problem-solving mindset and keep up-to-date with the latest technologies đź“ŤYou have an interest in crypto and enjoy fast paced environments
