Job Summary
RESPONSIBILITIES:
📍Monitor and resolve networking, compute and rack power distribution infrastructure incidents in multiple data centers. 📍Manage complete lifecycle for data center hardware including selection, deployment, operation, maintenance and decommission. 📍Physically rack and cable data center equipment. 📍Track and logically organize the physical storage of incoming data center equipment. 📍Perform quality assurance testing and resolve recurring issues. 📍Establish, schedule and track preventative maintenance procedures. 📍Update documentation, including interconnect drawings, rack layouts and operational procedures. 📍Monitor the environmental conditions and power/cooling systems of a data center to ensure they are optimized for servers, switches, storage arrays, and other devices. 📍Maintain in-depth quantitative performance and utilization data for detailed reporting and analytics to drive continuous improvement opportunities. 📍Work with the supply chain team and vendors to evaluate, procure and manage inventory of data center equipment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
📍Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 1+ year of data center experience; OR 3+ years of data center experience in lieu of a degree. 📍Professional experience working in a data center environment or with enterprise-grade IT hardware.
