Job Summary
RESPONSIBILITIES:
📍Resolve operational, infrastructure or hardware incidents in multiple data centers. 📍Manage complete lifecycle for data center hardware, including deployment, operation, and decommission. 📍Physically rack and cable data center equipment. 📍Track and logically organize the physical storage of incoming data center equipment. 📍Perform quality assurance testing and resolve recurring issues. 📍Schedule and track hardware maintenance tasks. 📍Update port maps and rack layouts and create operational procedures. 📍Monitor the environmental conditions and power/cooling systems of a data center to ensure they are optimum for servers, switches, storage arrays, and other devices. 📍Run hardware diagnostics and replace failing parts in a timely manner. 📍Upgrade internal system components, including CPUs, memory, and storage. 📍Setup and operate common Linux and Windows servers. 📍Document processes and keep event logs. 📍Work with the purchasing department on the procurement of new data center equipment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
📍Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 1+ year of data center experience; OR 3+ years of data center experience without a degree. 📍Professional experience working in a data center or with IT hardware.
