Job Summary
Responsibilities
šServe as one of the primary legal points of contact for US monitorship-related matters. šProvide legal guidance and counsel in coordination with cross-functional teams to effectively respond to the ongoing monitoring by the government-appointed monitorship of the Anti-Money Laundering and sanctions compliance programs. š- Assist in handling ongoing litigations, arbitrations, and investigations. šPartner closely with cross-functional and regional teams, supporting on complex legal matters of diverse complexity, sensitivity, and significance. šReview and analyze monitorship reports, findings, and recommendations to ensure timely and effective responses. šTake charge of external communication with external counsels and negotiate with the opposition. šSupport the development and implementation of legal strategies to reduce the risk of disputes while balancing against the organizationās overall business strategy. šBe responsible for drafting and reviewing litigation and arbitration documents, including discovery responses, dispositive motions, expert reports, and settlement agreements.
Requirements
šQualified lawyer with 5-10 years of experience at a reputable global law firm. šIn-house experience is a plus. šA proven history in litigation and contentious regulatory matters. šAdmitted to practice in at least one U.S. state. šA comprehensive understanding of both AML and sanctions compliance programs. šRobust analytical skills with an eye for detail. šCapable of working proactively in both independent and team environments. šExcellent written and oral communication skills.
