Job Summary
Key Responsibilities of the role
šResponsible for the relationship and engagement the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). šEnsure that all activities of the organisation comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. šDevelop, review, and update compliance policies and procedures to reflect changes in regulations and industry best practices. šAdvance and perform risk assessments and monitor compliance risks, implementing measures to mitigate potential issues. šTake the lead as group Business Wide Risk Assessment Lead, conducting entity and group level risk reports. šPrepare and submit necessary regulatory reports and filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. šLead or assist in internal investigations related to compliance matters and recommend corrective actions. šSupport other regional teams or functions in managing the company's anti-money laundering (AML) program, including suspicious activity reporting and customer due diligence. šAct as MLRO and Nominated Officer for Singapore SAR reporting šAudits and Examinations: Manage regulatory audits and examinations, liaising with regulatory bodies as needed. šCompliance Monitoring: Establish and maintain an effective compliance monitoring program to track and report on compliance activities. šAdvisory Role: Provide compliance advice and guidance to senior management and other departments.
Your experience, skills and knowledge
šProven experience in a compliance role, preferably within a financial services or digital assets company. šIn depth understanding of MAS regulatory requirements with a good understanding of VA/VASP requirements šKnowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and practices. šAbility to independently and remotely but thrives on collaboration and cross jurisdictional working. šStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities. šExperience of performing risk assessments and implementing the necessary measures. šAssisting in internal compliance investigations. šExperience in developing and reviewing compliance policies and procedures
