Job Summary
What You’ll Be Doing
📍Support legal department with the authorization process for the VASP license. 📍Act as the designated "Director of Compliance" (Diretor de Conformidade) as required, taking personal responsibility for the effectiveness of the AML/CFT policy. 📍Act as the primary point of contact for the regulator. 📍Adapt the global compliance manual to meet specific Brazilian requirements, including CNPJ/CPF validation and local PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) lists. 📍Oversee the communication of suspicious transactions with the local system. 📍Implement the "Three Lines of Defense" model tailored to the Brazilian crypto-asset market. 📍Review high-risk Brazil-specific tickets (KYC/KYB) processed by the 📍Global Ops team to ensure they meet local "Know Your Customer" standards. 📍Manage relationships with local "Bancarização" partners and payment gateways (PIX providers). 📍Lead the mandatory annual independent audits required by Brazilian financial regulations.
What You'll Bring
📍6+ years experience in Compliance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a Brazilian financial institution. 📍Deep knowledge of the VASP Regulatory Framework in Brazil and BCB/CVM guidelines. 📍Native Portuguese and fluent English.
