The Brokerage Risk Department manages the brokerage risk programs and governance framework for both Robinhood Financial (RHF) and Robinhood Securities, LLC (RHS). The Brokerage Risk Governance and Oversight team is responsible for building and maintaining the practices needed to assess, monitor, report, and address risk exposures. The team executes and coordinates both financial and operational risk management functions including risk assessments, loss and risk event collection, key risk indicators, issue management, and builds automated controls and ongoing exposure monitoring for distinct exposures related to trading, margin, and other broker dealer functions. You’ll strategize risk mitigation through use of data analytics to develop task automation, design and implement controls, and monitor current and emerging risk exposures. This role is building out the framework and risk practices that maintain a controlled environment while enabling innovation and growth.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

Partners with Product, Finance, Enterprise Risk, Legal & Compliance (L&C) teams to implement the Risk Framework Deliver strategic guidance to reduce risk exposure and mitigate emerging risk related to the Product space Work with cross functional teams across the firm to perform risk assessments, control testing, and risk event retrospectives Assist with identifying and assessing risks in both existing and new products and processes as well as emerging risks Curate materials to facilitate risk assessments and risk committee meetings Facilitate the aggregation and reporting of risk information that is applied in assessment of risk against risk appetite Provide objective oversight of control operating and design effectiveness and ensure business partners perform timely risk governance procedures About you:

5+ years of hands-on experience in Broker Dealer Operations, Risk Management, Enterprise, Technology, credit, liquidity, financial risk management, and/or Data Analytics professions Comprehensive knowledge of broker dealer operations and passion for financial markets and risk analytics Comfortable working closely with individuals at all levels within the company Ability to learn quickly, think critically, and apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues and implement operational improvements Resourceful and adaptive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments; strong bias to action Ability to communicate within the company while understanding existing processes, products and ideas, to be able to effectively challenge when needed Bonus points:

This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and participation in Robinhood’s equity plan.

Base pay is determined by market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Please note, some of our roles are open to additional levels which would impact the expected base pay.
