Job Summary

What you’ll do:

📍Policy Development and Group Standards: Collaborate with Anti-Money Laundering Officers (AMLOs) and other relevant stakeholders of Bitpanda to develop comprehensive group-wide policies and establish the foundational pillars for a global AFC (Anti-Financial Crime) governance program. Ensure these policies and standards are consistently applied across all Bitpanda entities and are fully compliant with regulatory requirements. 📍Support Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on business partners under limited guidance to ensure compliance with Bitpanda’s commitment to prevent money laundering, sanctions circumvention, terrorism financing, bribery and corruption, tax evasion, and fraud. 📍Provide support for external requests for information: Ensure timely and accurate responses to maintain compliance and foster transparent relationships with business partners, auditors, and regulators regarding AFC topics. 📍Monitoring Relationships: Oversee and monitor existing business relationships from an AFC perspective, ensuring ongoing compliance and risk mitigation. 📍Research and Implementation: Stay updated on the latest regulatory developments and industry best practices related to financial crime prevention and crypto assets.

Who you are:

📍Educational Background: You possess a degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or a related field, with a strong preference for candidates with a robust legal background. Your academic journey equips you to understand and navigate complex regulatory environments seamlessly. 📍Relevant Experience: You bring previous experience from compliance departments within banks, financial institutions, or fintechs. This background is essential in understanding the unique challenges and opportunities in the financial sector, contributing to Bitpanda's mission of offering secure and innovative financial products to its users. 📍Language Proficiency: You have an excellent command of written and oral English and German, with exceptional communication and presentation skills. Your ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely aligns with Bitpanda's mission to make finance accessible to everyone. 📍Policy Expertise: Your ability to review new regulations, draft, and review policies ensures compliance with current laws and governance standards. You can "read" and interpret legal texts, integrating them into governance documents to support Bitpanda's commitment to regulatory excellence and innovation in financial services. 📍Analytical and Research Skills: You possess strong analytical and research skills with excellent attention to detail. Your ability to delve into law, regulations, and guidance from national competent authorities is crucial for Bitpanda's decision-making process.
