Job Summary

We are looking for an Android Engineer to join our Payments team to rapidly create, iterate and launch high quality software that empower users all over the world. You will play a critical role in evolving the core app which drives our retail products.

As an engineer on the Payments team, you will be responsible for a key part of the Blockchain infrastructure. Whether its crypto or fiat, Payments serves as the bridge that all users cross on their way to a digital asset future. As this is often one of the first pieces of software that users interact with, our mission is to design, build, and maintain reliable systems that ensure broad access and efficient payments for all our users.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Be at the forefront of the cryptocurrency ecosystem building out new distributed software to handle our rapidly growing user base of 50M+ wallets. Become a key member of a dedicated engineering team committed to rapidly shipping, and iterating on products that directly impact millions of users. Advocate best practices, code quality, test coverage and drive technical discussions. Ensure security is at the forefront of everything you do, employing advanced encryption schemes to secure user and company data. Work within interdisciplinary teams to continually deliver the highest quality software to our users. Work with a variety of APIs and systems from different payment partners Design, build, and maintain systems to securely move funds Collaborate with product, risk, and finance teams within Blockchain to ensure our payment flows are seamless and reliable

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

At least 5 years of experience working with Java / Kotlin and the Android SDK and have at least two apps in the store Experience with reactive programming (Flow/Coroutines preferred) You are excited about using the latest Android features to build the best app in class You feel ownership over everything you ship—you'd never call code "released" until you’re confident it’s correct Unit testing/TDD and achieving a high level of coverage should be second nature to you You should be able to adapt easily to meet the needs of our massive growth and rapidly evolving business environment Knowledge of crypto (as in cryptocurrency, not as in cryptography) Excellent communication skills to liaise with various team members around the world Strong analytical and problem-solving skills You enjoy learning new things COMPENSATION & PERKS:
