Job Summary

Responsibilities

šŸ“The contractor will be exposed to an array of compliance activities, but will primarily be tasked to work effectively with multiple complex data sources and/or technical analytical tools/resources to identify potentially unusual, fraudulent, criminal or suspicious activity as defined by AML/BSA regulations and industry best practices for AML/BSA analysis. This includes (but is not limited to): šŸ“Decision transaction monitoring, sanctions, and customer account alerts; šŸ“Review and engage with the law enforcement team on scam refunds, subpoenas, and other ad hoc projects; šŸ“Assist with the review of documentation and work with customer service representatives to resolve compliance-related issues; šŸ“Supports Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) efforts; šŸ“From the alert or diligence process; identifies, researches, and reports suspicious activity to investigations and completes same; šŸ“Supports the investigative process which determines if a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) is necessary and assists with the completion of SAR draft; and šŸ“Complete quality control of SAR drafts as needed.

Other responsibilities to include:

šŸ“Assist the Compliance Officer with the investigative process for law enforcement requests, audit requests, regulatory requests, and banking partner requests; šŸ“Remains adherent with BSA / AML / OFAC and other compliance programs, procedures, red flag lists, and training; šŸ“Drafts Currency Transaction Reports (CTR); šŸ“Supports Funds Travel Rule (FTR) adherence; šŸ“Supports Compliance self-testing efforts; šŸ“Supports international compliance efforts; and šŸ“Supports Vendor Management and Business Continuity, as needed.

Required Qualifications

šŸ“Two or more years of financial crimes related experience (e.g., anti-money laundering, fraud, investigations / SARs, economic sanctions, anti-corruption, and bribery); šŸ“Excellent oral, written, critical thinking, problem-solving and interpersonal skills; šŸ“Demonstrated knowledge of laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, and rules impacting the financial services and cryptocurrency industries; šŸ“Sound understanding of compliance and operational risks and internal control frameworks; šŸ“Strong analytical / research skills coupled with ability to effectively summarize findings in a succinct and organized manner; šŸ“Ability to grasp complex processes quickly and be able to identify risks and compensating controls; šŸ“Excellent problem-solving abilities and results-oriented; able to make decisions independently; and šŸ“Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
