Bithumb

Bithumb is a South Korean cryptocurrency exchange.

In June 2017, it was subject to a hack in which data was stolen from an employees personal computer.

In January of 2018, it was raided by the police for allegedly committing tax evasion. Even though they were not found guilty, they were ordered to pay $28 million in back taxes.

In June 2018, Bithumb were victims of another hack in which $32 million were stolen.

In October, a majority share was purchased by BK Global Consortium

In March 2019, it was subject to another hack in which $20 million worth of EOS and XRP were stolen.

In April 11, 2019, Bithumb declared a net loss of $180 million for the previous year.
